Casiflo ("Casiflo," "we," "us," or "our") provides evidence-organization and case-preparation services for businesses dealing with platform restrictions, payment holds, suspensions, reviews, and appeals.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information when you visit our website, use our tools, submit information through our forms, or purchase and use Casiflo services.

We believe that businesses dealing with a platform incident should be able to understand what happens to the information they provide. We therefore aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services, protect it appropriately, and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer reasonably needed.

By using Casiflo, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. You may provide information when you use the Casiflo website, complete the free Evidence Readiness Check, request or download a checklist, provide your email to receive an assessment result, contact us, purchase a Casiflo service, upload documents or evidence for case preparation, or communicate with us about your case.

This may include: name; email address; business name and contact information; information about your business; information about a platform account or platform incident; information contained in documents, screenshots, emails, records, photographs, or other evidence you choose to provide; information about your case, including relevant dates, events, communications, and platform requests; and payment and transaction information necessary to process your purchase.

Case materials and uploaded evidence. If you use Casiflo's case-preparation services, materials you provide may include business registration information, licenses and registrations, proof of address, invoices, order or fulfillment records, shipping or tracking information, platform communications, screenshots, photographs, website or business information, business identity information, and other documents you choose to provide.

Please do not upload information that is not reasonably necessary for your case. In particular, do not provide passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card numbers, private encryption keys, or other credentials unless Casiflo specifically requests information necessary and appropriate for the service.

Information collected automatically. When you visit Casiflo, we may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring or exit pages, approximate location derived from technical information, date and time of access, and information about how you interact with the website. We may use privacy-respecting analytics and similar technologies for website functionality, analytics, security, and the other purposes described in this Policy.

2. How We Use Information

Providing Casiflo services: to perform an Evidence Readiness assessment; organize and analyze evidence you submit; identify apparent evidence gaps or inconsistencies; prepare case materials; provide the service you purchased; communicate with you about your case; deliver assessment results and completed work; and provide additional assistance included in an Assisted service, where applicable.

Operating and improving Casiflo: to operate and maintain our website and services; troubleshoot problems; improve our products and workflows; understand how users interact with our website; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and develop and improve Casiflo. Where practical, we aim to use aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise minimized information for product improvement rather than identifiable case materials.

Communications: if you provide your email to receive an assessment result, we use it to deliver that result and communicate with you about your request. We may also send transactional communications relating to a service you purchase. We will not treat a request for an assessment result as permission to send unrelated marketing communications. If we later offer marketing communications, we will provide appropriate choices for receiving them.

Legal and safety purposes: when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, respond to lawful requests from government authorities, enforce our agreements, protect the rights, property, or safety of Casiflo, our customers, or others, or investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

3. Human Review

Casiflo's paid case-preparation services are designed to include human review. When you purchase a service that includes human review, an authorized Casiflo reviewer may access the information and evidence necessary to perform the service. Access is intended to be limited to what is reasonably necessary to complete the work.

4. AI and Your Case Materials

Casiflo may use artificial-intelligence tools as part of its internal workflow or service delivery where appropriate. Casiflo does not use your case files to train AI models. We do not sell your case materials to AI companies or provide them to third parties for the purpose of training general-purpose AI models. If Casiflo changes how identifiable case materials are used for AI training or another materially different purpose, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or case materials. We may share information with categories of service providers that help us operate Casiflo and provide the services you request, which may include hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, email and communications providers, analytics and website providers, customer-support or service-management providers, and professional advisers such as legal, accounting, or security advisers. These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary for the services they provide to Casiflo and subject to applicable contractual or legal requirements.

Legal disclosures: we may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a valid legal process, protect against fraud or security threats, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Casiflo, our customers, or others.

Business transfers: if Casiflo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and any required notice.

6. We Do Not Control the Platforms You Are Appealing

Casiflo may help you prepare materials relating to Google, Shopify, or another third-party platform. Your information is not automatically sent to those platforms simply because you use Casiflo. You decide whether and what to submit to a third-party platform unless otherwise expressly described as part of a service you purchase. Casiflo does not control those platforms' privacy practices, security practices, policies, or decisions. If you submit information directly to Google, Shopify, or another third party, that information is governed by that third party's own terms and privacy policy.

7. Payment Information

When you purchase a Casiflo service, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. Casiflo does not need to retain your full payment-card number to provide its services. The payment processor may collect and process payment information according to its own privacy policy and terms. We may receive transaction information such as purchaser name, email address, transaction amount, purchase date, payment status, and limited payment-related information necessary to identify the transaction.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the requested service, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, complying with legal obligations, and enforcing our agreements. The retention period may depend on the type of service, the status of the case, and operational or legal requirements. Casiflo does not intend to retain uploaded case materials indefinitely. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices, subject to legal, security, and legitimate business requirements.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, appropriate to the size and stage of our operation. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. You should avoid submitting information that is not reasonably necessary for your case. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.

10. Your Choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have choices concerning your personal information, including to choose not to provide optional information, unsubscribe from marketing communications where applicable, request access to certain personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of certain personal information, and exercise other rights provided by applicable privacy law. Some information may need to be retained to provide a service, complete a transaction, comply with law, protect against fraud, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

11. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident and applicable California privacy law applies to Casiflo, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process; request access to or deletion of personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable; limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable; and receive equal treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights. Casiflo does not sell your personal information and does not use your case materials for behavioral advertising. Not every business is subject to every CCPA obligation. To exercise an applicable privacy right, contact us using the information in Section 15 below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

12. Cookies and Analytics

Casiflo may use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, or similar technologies to operate the website and understand how visitors use it, for example which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the site. Some of these technologies may be provided by third-party service providers. Your browser may provide controls for limiting or blocking certain cookies; blocking some may affect website functionality.

13. Third-Party Websites

Casiflo may contain links to third-party websites, including platform resources. We do not control third-party websites, and this Policy does not govern their privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing information to it.

14. Children's Privacy

Casiflo is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Casiflo, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date above. If we make a material change to how we collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.

17. Important Information About Casiflo

Casiflo is an evidence-organization and case-preparation service. Casiflo does not control Google, Shopify, or any other platform and cannot guarantee that a platform will reinstate an account, release funds, approve an appeal, remove a restriction, or reach any particular outcome. Providing information to Casiflo does not constitute submitting an appeal to a third-party platform.
